Today was spent at the Dark Horse Fencing Club's Winter Campaign, an electric fencing scrimmage for Y-14 and Y-10 Foil, and Y-14 Epee fencers. Jordan fenced "electric" for the first time, and did a great job. There is a huge learning curve ahead of him, but he absolutely loves it, and his coach tells him that he is very "teachable." Go figure, that he would be teachable about something for which he has such a passion. I wish he would be so passionate about his algebra!
But seriously, the thought that we are pretty good learners when learning those things for which we have great desire is helpful, isn't it? And about those other things. . . God please give me great desire for those things, too, so that I may learn them more easily!
